Post-Labor Day NE blow is pushing bait tight to the sand from Hatteras to Folly. Drum are waking up on the Point and the mullet run is on.
Water 78-86°F north to south, steady NE 15-24kts all week with 3.3-3.9ft groundswell — classic early-fall setup pushing bait to the beach.
Drum on the Slack, Pomps in the Wash — Week of Sep 1
Water's still 82 up here and 84 down south. Bait's stacked, tides are workable, and the Point's fishing like late summer should.
Water 80-85°F range, light NE winds 7-10kts, clean 2ft swell with scattered SC thunder — solid late-summer fishing window.
Water's Hot, Drum Are Moving — Week of August 24
Water's still cooking in the mid-80s but the tides are lining up right and the afternoon storms are pushing bait tight to the beach. Get out early or ride the evening high.
Water temps 81-86°F across the board, SW winds 5-14kts, daily afternoon thunderstorms — classic late-August pattern with strong tide swings SC-side.
Drum on the Slack, Pompano in the Wash — Week of August 17
Water's pushing 83 on the OBX and 87 down at Folly. Summer patterns holding, but the pompano bite is stacking up in the suds and the flats are lighting up on the slack.
Water 82-87°F across the region, SW winds 10-15 knots, hot and humid with scattered afternoon thunderstorms building through the week.
Hot Water, Skinny Tides — Week of August 10
Water's pushing 85 on both ends of the coast and the tide swings are tight up here on Hatteras. Fish the edges of light and you'll find fish.
Water 83-85°F coast-wide, SW winds 10-16kts, hot and humid with afternoon thunderstorms in the forecast every day this week.
Dog Days Drum and Pompano — Week of August 3
Water's pushing 86 down in Folly and 83 up at the Point. SW blow all week means dirty water in the wash, but the drum and flounder don't care if you time the tides right.
Water 82–86°F across the board, SW wind 15–23 knots all week, afternoon thunderstorms daily, weak tides on the OBX and big 5-foot swings in SC.

Water's warm across the board and the afternoon storms are setting up predictable bite windows. If you time the tide, you eat this week.
Water 75-86°F across the region, light S/SE winds under 10, daily afternoon thunderstorms building — classic late-July pattern.
Summer Heat, Storm Windows — Week of July 20
Water's pushing 87° down in SC and the OBX is stacked at 83.5°. Storms are rolling but the bite windows are there if you time the tides right.
Water 82.9-86.7° across the board, SW wind 10-20kts, scattered thunderstorms OBX with cleaner skies down in SC.

Pompano In The Wash, Flounder Staging — Week of May 25
Water's at 78 across Hatteras and the pompano bite is on. Just watch that SW wind on Memorial Day — it's gonna howl.
Water 74–80°F across the board, SW winds 13–20 mph all week with daily thunderstorm chances — warm, sticky, and workable in tight windows.
