Folly Beach Water Temperature

Folly Beach fishes as a classic Lowcountry surf break — a long sand beach with a defined trough, bookended by the Folly River and Lighthouse Inlet. Whiting and pompano work the wash, redfish hold in the trough on a moving tide, and Spanish mackerel and bluefish push in tight to the beach once the water warms through the upper 60s.

Interpolated between 2 coastal sensors — nearest is Charleston SC, 6.7 mi away. Not measured at Folly Beach.

Temperature Lines

None of the tracked lines — 55°, 62°, 68°, 72° — cross the coast near here right now. In midsummer the whole coast is past 72°, and in deep winter it is all below 55°, so there is no line to point at. They reappear as the water turns.
